Mike Fisch Named Vice President, Strategic Business Development

Industry veteran Mike Fisch is joining The Mitchell Group, as Vice President for Strategic Business Development.
CHICAGO, IL. – Industry veteran Mike Fisch is joining The Mitchell Group, as Vice President for Strategic Business Development, Bill Fisch, president, announced today. 
 
Based in the company’s Niles headquarters, Fisch will be responsible for supporting existing customer growth as well as developing strategic growth plans for new customers and markets.
Mike Fisch will report to his brother and Mitchell Group President, Bill Fisch. 
 
In making the announcement, Bill Fisch said, “Mike brings an entrepreneurial spirit that is a perfect fit for Mitchell. The opportunity to work with him again is not only exciting on a professional level, but on a personal level as well.”
 
Fisch’s experience and technical expertise will enable him to work with customers and marry their growing technical needs with Mitchell’s focused capabilities, not only in upholstery, but in other markets as well, said Ann Brunett, executive vice president. “As our product offerings become more sophisticated and diverse, Mike’s ability to identify and present exciting opportunities to our customers will be critical,” Brunett said.
 
Prior to joining The Mitchell Group, Mike Fisch was sales manager for Uniroyal Engineered Products (OEM), a leading manufacturer of vinyl coated fabrics, headquartered in Sarasota, Fl. Fisch was responsible for major technical OEM accounts, providing product development based on manufacturing and market use application.  He was instrumental in expanding Uniroyal’s large restaurant chain upholstery business, developing product platforms for companies such as, IHOP, Applebee’s, Yum and Blooming Brands, among others.
 
Previously, he was sales manager for O’Sullivan Films, Inc. (OSF), a film and artificial leather solutions company, based in Winchester, VA. At O’Sullivan, Fisch was tasked with creating strategic business plans and market penetration in key non-automotive market segments, including OSF’s entry into contact upholstery market. 
 
Fisch is a graduate of the University of Missouri, Columbia, where he earned a B.S. degree in Marketing Management. He received his MBA from The Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, Lake Forest, IL.
